It was January of 2003, and the new Marcy Playground
CD was already three years overdue. A bunch of new
demos had been recorded in the basement studio at my
house in Pennsylvania. We had subversively leaked some
of them to our fans through the Marcy website the year
before. The response was immediate and overwhelming.
It was, according to our friends and fans, the best
stuff we'd ever done. Record companies began calling,
radio stations were casually announcing the pending
arrival of a new Marcy album, and our website bulletin
board was abuzz with activity. Me... I was in a state

7-3 On October 23, 2008 Marcy Playground and Sponge are going on a 4-Day Carnival Cruise departing out of Jacksonville, FL. Marcy Playground and Sponge will both be playing full electric and acoustic shows on the trip. Come hang with the bands, autograph signings and poker tournaments.

The Jane Goodall Foundation (JGF) and Reality Entertainment plan to produce a CD and DVD
to benefit Roots and Shoots and other JGF programs and activities worldwide. MP will be writing and recording a "theme song" for the CD tentatively
titled “A Tribute To All Living Things”. The message behind the project is the preservation of species and to respect one
another and all living things.
8-4— A tentative date for the Canadian release of MP3 is slated for 9-20. Check back here when we get exact confirmation. The site was down for aprox 3 weeks in July when our server hard drive took a nose dive. My apologies for the delay in getting things back in order.
